This is the stuff that I love in games! I love collecting stuff for legendary weapons! I had two legendary weapons back in WoW (Thunderfury and Shadowmourne) and the best memories I had was going into those raids with my guild collecting the pieces so doing the same thing here is exciting for me!

It just got me curious to see what they are going to come up with for casters. Staffs offer alot of potential, but I want to see what they are going to do with weapons such as the focus, scepter, warhorn, and shields. I am only speculating that they would have a legendary for every weapon type, but it is probably a pretty safe one. Also will be interesting to see either multiple effects, or combined effects of dual wielding weapons, such as daggers. I feel like this adds alot to the game overall, and agree with Amoner about being extremely difficult to obtain. It would also be nice if the main components to make such items were not tradeable in any form.

I haven't really seen the original post, so these are my pure speculative hopes.
If they introduce something really flashy into the game that stands out of line items, they better make it extremely hard to achieve...
Well they didnt say how hard it would be to get specifically other then the normal "it will be hard" which means different things to different players is it vanilla wow legendary farming hard or was it cata hard (psssst...it wasnt hard in cata....4 mages in my guild had the legendary by the time we quit lol)?
However the one thing that I LOVE is that all the items you need are "soulbound" in a sense so it actually requires the people to go out and get the items themselves they cant just spend money on gems, convert to gold, and buy everything. So it will actually be a "I dont care that you have 1 million gold you still cant buy that orb you need that drops off that explorable mode boss you cant kill"
P.S. As a sidenote remember how hard and time consuming it was to make Obsidian armor or to farm the gems you needed for an armbrace for Tormented weapons in GW1??!?!? for those of use that played we all know how ANet doesnt shy away from making stuff hard to get since it is going to be prestige it doesnt give any more benefit then any other item at level 80 just looks cooler so if you want it youll do the work!

I agree with you Aggelos, they need to make it very hard and i would say time consuming in order to get those items. I would like to be see if they have legendary items for all weapon types but I dont think they do. I mean how would a legendary Horn look like? A tooth off of the shatterer?
I cant wait to start working hard to get them though.

Well from that interview they only really discussed 3 if i remember correctly. The shortbow and two greatswords that are unique legnedaries in themselves but can be combined.

They talked about the hammer also. I'm looking forward to what the sword is going to look like.

Oh yes you are right! The hammer that makes all your armor look like liquid metal! Totally worth it IMO!

I'm only interested if they make a shield or a sword. Otherwise the other things didn't sound all that great to me, but I need to see them first. The bow is terrible, but if it makes people happy trololing away, then I guess that's fine. I gather from this that there will only be legendary weapons, and not armor?

They only mentioned weapons not armor...there will be prestige armors but nothing "legendary" tho it appears that the weapons might add to your armor such as the hammer that makes your are appear liquid.

While i don't anticipate making a concerted effort to grind the supplies for one of these, I will keep track of the ingredients i accumulate over the course of normal play. When I am getting within the ballpark of completion I may focus my efforts towards finishing. I think the difficulty of obtaining one coupled with the fact that they're purely cosmetic means we probably won't see them all over the place, at least not for a long while.
