Has anyone on these forums tried the mod Dayz from the game Arma 2?? It really caught my attention, and I was just wondering any insights about it. The game Arma 2, doesn't really interest me, however this survival sandbox zombie game looks divine.

I'm going to look into this game tonight, I know nothing about it (at all), but from what I can tell it's an open world zombie survival game with full pk servers?

Been playing this for a little while now, mostly solo. I would like to hook up with some other people, raiding cherno isn't always safe by your self. Been having a blast with it, and yes Zyll it's a open world "true" zombie survival game with pk'ing.

Been playing for around 5 days now. This game has made me into an awful human being. I have murdered every player I have encounter (outside of Team Legacy members) regardless of circumstance. I stalked a guy in Cherno for ten minutes until he was looting a corner store, and I axed him to death. I am a monster. ;____;

Seriously, this game is amazing (except for the bugs), and I would love to play with Team Legacy (and hopefully you guys will calm my near suicidal bloodlust).

I just bought the game last night and spent like 3 hours scavenging in one of the cities. The tower building thing was blocked off by one of those big metal X metal things and somehow i managed to vault through it. Then the stairs were blocked by barbed wire and I had no toolkit to remove them.. got stuck between the two blockades and couldn't get out. So i stopped playing for the night

friend and I picked it up today and spent half an hour searching for each other currently out next to bolotovo? far west by the shore... with guns, but ammoless... crawling through a city, but got disconnected... lol, will continue tomorrow...

Haha same here. Beginning is a bitch when you need to find eachother and figure out what city you are in. And when you aggro'd a zombie they will run after you forever. Only way I found to lose them is to jump over fences

Run into buildings. Zombies cant run inside buildings.

I'm thinking of picking this up. Arma 2 and Arma 2: OA is on sale for $24 combined. I'll talk to Killy and see if we can get this down as an event sometime after the TF2 week. I'd love it.

Fist of the Empire your brother guild in the Alliance has our own server. Come over anytime and play with us, we normally have 10+ people on during primetime.

Try using a map like dayzdb.com/map learn to find your location on it (when you spawn you get a rough location name on the bottom right of the screen)
Zombies mostely work on line of sight (of their bodie, not the head) so try not to walk in this
For new players, try to find barns and farms for beginner guns and more importantly AXES, the only weapon you'll ever need vs zombies.
After that, try to loot some smaller villages.

But whatever you do, stay away from:
Cherno,
NW Airfield,
Stary sobor <-- mostely this one

These area's will get you killed
