This week we take the oppertunity to discuss our experiences from BWE #2 while it's fresh in our minds. We start with WvW and make our way through Structured PvP over to PvE, Crafting, and the Finale event. We also spoke at length about the market system in GW2, and how you can take advantage of it and stop giving Freelancer money

I tend to play it casually. However, there was a time in WoW where I was growing an enterprise. I had contracts with gatherers who would farm me ridiculous amounts of ore/herbs/skins etc. and then buy out the market and then flood it at a profitable price. Due to the volume of mats I listed, everyone thought that that was now the new standard market price. I would do this several hundred times before the prices became insane and people were QQ'ing about it.

Every game I play, I end up rich without really trying. City of Heroes was one with a global market, a similiar buy/sell orders system to what GW2 will have, and much like freelancer was pointing out, the items with the most trading become the most stable. There were many discussions on the CoH forums about weither flipping helped or hurt the economy, with most long term members loving it.
I am curious what effect the gems will have, but atleast I will always have something to spend extra gold on. I might as well plan on having extra character slots now

I'm going to wait for Freelancer to release his book before I attempt to play the GW2 markets.
I am of the opinion that a lot of MMOs are full of stupid and/or uninformed people when it comes to auction houses, and I feel I am performing a public service by relieving them of their gold and investing it in my pockets.

Not quite on the level as freelancer (in fact, not even close), but I did spend a lot of time on the market this beta weekend. Not completing in freelancer's markets but on other commodities like mystic chests. At one point I had about 1500 chests on the market.

I voted for some... Which I will do some market things to start, but if it becomes tedious I will just spend my rl cash, buy gems and get what I want. I make enough money to do what I want IRL so I will do the same in GW2. People will buy my gems, I will buy what I want. Its a win win.
People will think they are winning out in the deal... thinking I am wasting money or whatnot, but if I am getting what I want when I want it, is it really wasting my money?

I am hoping they have a trading house app for smart phones so i track my markets when im not at home! I started market trading in wow and YHH!PP but it was in aion were i got addicted to trading and owning a market section competely (hopefully something not possible in GW2 because of server to sever trade). I made half a bill in aion before lv 40 and and a full bill by lv 46, i want to achieve the equivelent or greater in GW2!
