I'm making this thread for a few reasons. One is for a database of philosophy. Either they are a page long story of thought or inspiration, or powerful one-liners, this would be the place for it. Another reason is for the result that these few sayings, stories, and even ballads give us, inspiration or for some clarity of thought and even a broader direction of life.
Let's brings out our inner Socrates or Diogenes or Confucius or Sun Tzu and give us some stories or quotes of philosophy either from your personal life or maybe a quote you googled. I would just like to warn everyone who posts in this thread about The Way Things Work, so let's keep this civil and not controversial. Nothing directly about Religion, Politics, Racism, ect yet it would be nice if they were to make us think. And now I'll start...

Don't blur the lines into the philosophy of religion please.

Keep it to philosophy please, not the philosophy of religion or anything that begs to be taken as religious. Blurring the lines to religion is going to just be removed.
