I'm sure everyone has read this at this point, but I figured I would post it just in-case.

They've updated their FAQ to include information about the bonus items http://www.guildwars...-game/game-faq/,

Here is the transcript.

How will I receive the Collector's Edition digital items? When you log in to Guild Wars 2 and create a character, you will be able to obtain your digital items via the in-game mail system.
How does the Golem Banker work? The Golem Banker provides unlimited access to your account storage from anywhere in-game for five consecutive days. The five-day period begins when you first use the Golem Banker. During the five-day period, you can use the Golem Banker's service as many times as you'd like.
How does the Chalice of Glory work? The Chalice of Glory is a one-time use item that will add a set amount of Glory to your account. Once used, the Chalice will be destroyed and the bonus will be reflected on your account.
How does the Tome of Influence work? The Tome of Influence is a one-time use item that will add a set amount of Influence to the guild you're representing. Once used, the Tome will be destroyed and the bonus will be reflected on the guild you are representing at the time of use.
How does the Summon Mistfire Wolf elite skill work? When used, the elite skill will summon a Mistfire Wolf to temporarily fight alongside you and your allies.
Can I upgrade from a physical Standard Edition copy to Digital Deluxe? Yes, we will provide an upgrade path if you have Standard Edition and wish to upgrade to Digital Deluxe. We will release more information on this in the future.
If I pre-purchase the Collector's Edition, how long do I have to collect the final box and code from the store to keep my account active? If you pre-purchase the Collector's Edition, you will have five-days after the Guild Wars 2 launch date to apply your retail serial code. If your code isn't entered during the five-day period, you will be unable to access the game until you do apply the code to your account.

It's interesting that you'll be able to upgrade your regular edition to the digital deluxe. Might kill the Rytlock mini market.

Hmm...

While its nice that they let you upgrade. I'd be surprised if they continued to allow the DCE to be purchased / upgraded to any more than a month or two after release. After all it still is a "Collectors edition", kind of defeats the purpose if it really isn't "collectible".

Also tome of influence is.... interesting.... Wonder if zerg guilds will go into full derp mass recruit mode just to get everyone's free IP.

Correct me if i'm wrong but If i get the CE, i will still get beta access (code to register and on official forum) only that i have an extra step to register the separate retail serial code once GW2 launches right?

Technically, it is a Deluxe edition not Collectors... They could allow upgrade to DDE for a long time or even forever since the items are just digital like their GW1 game of the year stuff. Probably would annoy some, but again technically it is just a deluxe version, not a collectors version.

Yeah that's correct. You would have to go back to the store that you pre-purchased/ordered from and they'll give you the game code and all the physical items. Then you would link your retail code to your account and you're good as gold.

Like the FAQ says, you would have 5-days to link it before your account would be locked, so not a huge rush.

I'm glad they give us the option to upgrade to digital deluxe if we want to (and if the items actually prove useful). That makes me happy with my decision to get the standard edition.

Agreed with Deft. I was a bit on the fence for a while but in the end I think if I want a quick boost at the start it'd be for exp to unlock utilities/traits for WvW and therefore it made more sense to save the money in case I felt like buying gems instead.

It's nice to know if the things I'm missing are better than they appear I can always upgrade.

Just wondering, do we know for sure that the Rytlock mini will be tradeable/sellable? Because I remember reading that the minis from the HoM will be bound to the character. So they may go a similar route with Rytlock?
