so any lucky people here who got the CE? I stood in front of our local store that sold it from 6Am till it opend at 9:30AM together with Aethlin. Just to hear they only had one and it was already reserved... (even thought they said it could not be reserved...) so yes we were 2 very sad, sad, sad pandas.

But i bet we got some lucky people here who did get it, im curious who and how :3 oh yes and i envy you guys <3 enjoy it!

I pre ordered the pre purchase CE on bol.com like a week ago (actually I think they weren't allowed to) but I got it.

Wow really surprised, I looked in the mail today and saw a GW2 DVD package with a code in it, registerd my account, linked GW 1 account now waiting for the mail to get the link to download the client.

Hope all you other guys will have the same amount of luck as I did!

I ended up getting the Digital Deluxe. I may stop by Gamestop and see what the inventory really is today.

But not to worry...

The community managers at ArenaNet were quick to clarify a couple of questions potential customers had last night. First, although you will get a beta invite when you pre-purchase, this will not happen immediately. However, you will get an invite before the first beta weekend which is scheduled to be at the end of April. And if you purchased from a retail outlet, most likely your registration code will come in a pre-purchase box that will need to be shipped to you. So don’t fret if you don’t have an email with the code, yet.

I pre-ordered it a week ago from a retailer that had the spanish version of it in Europe. I got my code box yesterday so I'm expecting the same kind of delay for the CE goodies once the game is out (if not longer), at least I know I'll be getting it !

I had the same problem with Gamestop. They couldn't give me a beta key with a CE pre-purchase. Only with a digital download.

It seems that my local store doesn't have its inventory system updated so i need to go back tomorrow to pre-purchase. I asked and i have a pretty good chance of getting it since they didn't have the CE updated into their inventory system. That means no one has placed any reservation and i'm at equal footing as everyone else going to the same branch.

Ran into the same problem at my Gamestop. He said I could get the digital edition, but that was the only thing they had other than the regular. I asked if they were planning on getting any, and he had no idea. Moreover, he said that they only have digital editions and even if I got the regular it would only be a code and not a physical copy. Not too sure what to make of it. Either way he said that they currently don't have any beta keys, but they should be getting them in the next couple days.

Ugh if I didn't have a giftcard to Gamestop I would never do business with them. I'm really tempted just to get it from the anet store, but then I would still have a GS giftcard, sigh.

Website with the GS phone number open on my screen, phone in hand ready to call them, when the guy who I talked with at the store calls me up and has my key. Good show.

Also, I've noticed some places predicting the release date to be 6/26. On my receipt here, it says the code expires on 6/26, so thats probably where they're getting that guestimate from.

Yeah that's just Gamestops placeholder. I think a couple other business' have taken it from GS as well, but as usual just take it with a grain of salt.
