Nice marketing there, Blizzard.

But seriously, it doesn't seem entirely unbelievable.

Load of crap. If there are 12 million subscribers, I'm curious as to how many are male/female. I'm just saying that in my 6+ years of playing wow that I've seen some girls online, but very few.

SO STUPID

My brother met his fiance while playing WoW, and I may or may not have met Lonnie while dancing naked on a mailbox in front of the auction house in Orgrimmar.

Every girl I've met in WoW has been large or dying of cancer, or dying of cancer and engaged, or the creepy stalker type... I've had FAR too many of those.

I believe it could happen for some people, though. Best of luck to them!

Well of course, you were. If your character had been it might have been a different story right? :P

I don't even know where to start. Don't go into a game trying to meet someone, that's the worst thing you could do. And if you do meet someone, make sure they're... normal, and who they say they are. Online relationships can be weird, especially if you break up but still play the game and see eachother. Been there, done that. I'm not saying you can't find someone totally awesome in a game, because it's happened many times. But I do doubt that the success rate is as high as they say. And like Hara said, most of the girls playing mmos are either actually guys, or they're gross. Not trying to be mean, but it's true.

I remember in WoW in the guild I use to run our vice leader started dating and moved in with one of her friends on WoW, a fellow guildee. I didn't find out about this until a while after it happened though, when I came back to WoW. Their relationship didn't last. Nice to see that there are people who find lasting love through WoW though. :)

You can get laid playing WoW... Probably more than online dating.

I didn't meet my boyfriend on WoW, but I did meet him online and through gaming, nonetheless. And, it's going pretty damn well. Frankly, I'd rather meet a guy that way than through normal outside activity or a dating site any day. Mostly because if they already share my #1 hobby, gaming, I'm already willing to give them a shot. I just think honesty is key in any relationship, more so if you meet them online period.

Well, if you've ever been married, you've already been a prostitute. Having sex for goods is nothing new. lol. I say more power to her or anyone else that does things like that. It's not exactly my cup of tea, and I'd never do it, but to each his (or her) own.
