nice! I was suprised to read the previous record has stood since 1989. Testing a free running prototype later this year sounds interesting =)

Oh the things that would enter my mind if I saw this thing running towards me... Any particular purpose for this particular piece of robotics other than possible warfare hardware?

this reminds me of the old transformers dinosaur version and terminator...4? (the one where you actually see the corruption of the machines)
