Has anyone checked out Firefall? Its a new FPS MMO striving to create a name for itself in esports. Like GW2, its currently in closed beta and keys are slowly being given out in waves. Personally, I think it looks pretty sweet and I am looking forward to the dynamic combat/events that will occur in cities.

What do you guys think? I definitely like the idea of combining a high speed 3D shooter with the MMO genre.

I was interested in this when they first announced it but I saw some gameplay a few weeks ago and it looked kind of 'meh' to me. Feels a lot like Global Agenda to me which I enjoyed but Ive moved on to new things now.

I've had my eye on Firefall since it was announced, but haven't kept up with any recent happenings. I remember the last time I got hyped up about a shooter that was a bit 'different' - Brink happened. Brink looked like it had so much promise as a competitive shooter, but it just lacked so much.
I'll def remember to keep a closer eye on Firefall, but I'm not going to go all-in with anticipation/hype like I am with GW2.

I'm more looking forward to Planetside 2, personally. Firefall just feels too small scale for me. And I like big battles.

Reminds me a bit of Borderlands, but in a MMO environment. I loved Borderlands so much, but for some reason this game doesn't grab my attention.

Hmm, just got an invite for the beta. Guess I'll try it out and see how it is, but I'd have definitely preferred an email titled "Guild Wars 2 Beta Invite" lol
