Hi, I am looking to invest in a new computer (the one I am running on is really old). I have moderate knowledge of computers, but still posting here for help. I am looking to spend no more than $1000-1100 (not including monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc) with better-than-decent quality. I hope to run games such as GW2 and SC2 on "High" graphics setting without any issues. I am fine with anything over "Good" graphics setting, just "High" would be better.

I have decided on a few things that I want for the computer. I was looking around the forums and saw the "Our Picks for the Best PC Hardware" thread and read about the recommendations. I want an Intel i5-2500k (looking to keep the price as low as possible without sacrificing quality). I was also looking at the EVGA GeForce GTX 460 SE 1 GB GDDR5 PCI-Express 2.0 Graphics Card because it is recommended, but please let me know what you think. I am going to be getting a Cooler Master HAF 922 Mid Tower as well. I also want room for modification so that I can build off of this rig.

I mainly started this because I was hoping to learn a little bit about what the community is using. Please leave recommendations of what I should be using and why. Also I am trying to keep the price as low as possible, so price does matter ;}

Thanks, and sorry if I put this is the wrong section.

I am currently working on a new PC build. Its going to be for streaming bluray movies to tv and my iphone but its also going to be for gaming. I am on a tight budget too. My build consists of an:
i5-2400(maybe i5-2500 if I want to spend a little more.) I am not into overclocking, I need something reliable.
ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 for mobo. 2 X PCI-E 3.0 slots, kinda future proofing. Also crossfire compatible for...
Sapphire Radeon HD 6850. Great reviews, 1GB GDDR5, Great performance for current games, and crossfire for around $300ish.
8GB of DDR3-1600 memory. 2 4GB sticks. The timing is 9, but an article on AnandTech, shows that sandy bridge makes better timing not worth the money in most situations.
My Case, PSU, WIN7, HDD, and drive I'm getting from my job for free, or freeish. (The one nice thing about working at the great geek squad)

Feel free to critique my build or ignore it all together lol

Just wondering about the mother board, why choose this one. I was asking around with a friend and we got recommended an Asus one (can't remember the name). Thanks, and should I look into getting a Corsair SSD along with a hard drive? Just wondering now :]

Once again thanks.

Asus P8P67 Deluxe Rev 3.0 mobo
EVGA gtx 560 ti
Corsair Enthusiast series 650w PSU
Intel i5 2500K 3.3 GHZ
G-Skill Ripjaws 8GB (2x4GB)
Asus VS238h-p 23' LED Backlight 1080 HDMI monitor

That should run anywhere between 700 to 800 USD you can use the rest to buy a case + keyboard + mouse of your choice.
