I actually was a bit skeptical about FFX but found the story great, even though the gameplay was lackluster, which left me wanting more and just not getting it. It seemed to me this was the first FF that went too much into it feeling like watching the game than playing it, an unfortunate downturn in RPGs. I rather play than watch and this one went too much into story.

It's very unfortunate that Square Enix hasn't done this with FFVII yet. I liked FFX, but it was nothing like VII & VIII. :]

Your best bet is to play the PC version with MODS.

Oooh, there's mods for the PC version. I had no idea. I might look those up when I inevitable play this game again.

I just recently bought a PS3... half of the reason was to play Uncharted, the other half was to play this when it comes out
FFX, was probably one of my fav PS2 games, and I can't wait to replay it!

I really enjoyed the introduction of voice acting in X. I actually found the combat quite fun, it was one of the only FFs where I actually used every char. I did miss having the pseudo open world from 9 though (my favorite FF)

I loved everything about X. It was a stellar game.
The monster arena was awesome!
