Hey all, I started planning out my pc upgrade plan, since my system has gone 4-5 years without any upgrades, and will be in serious need of one if I want to continue doing high quality PC gaming. Right now the rig I built is working through a Core 2 quad E6600 CUP on a Fatality motherboard, with an 8800GTS for my GPU.

For the build, I'll be upgrading from Vista to 7 64 bit, and gutting everything from inside except my optical drive, HD and sound card. Instead of listing off all the parts I'll just post my PCPartPicker here:

I'm going for a high quality gaming rig that'll last for the next 4-5 years like my current build has, so I'm staying with Intel and Nvidia, since they've proven to be incredibly reliable for me. I'm not planning on getting a new case unless I find a way to pay for it, since my Cooler Master mid case still works fine for what I need.

The biggest bit of help I need is picking out a good power supply without breaking the bank. I have a good amount of hardware knowledge, but I just can't decide which one I should get, so I figured I'd ask some of you guys what current PSUs have served you well :)

Any questions/comments on the parts I've already picked out is also appreciated!

I always go with a manufacturer like Corsair or PC Power and Cooling. People will ask who is PC Power and Cooling but its like an ever better high end quality than Corsairs products. Their silence editions are so quiet and reliable you won't even notice them. As long you don't cheap out on the PSU there is nothing to worry about to be honest. Also modular power supplies are a huge plus since you can manage your cables with ease.

All great PSUs above.
