Warcraft player gets into an accident and becomes deaf. He gets kicked from his guild of 4 years for not being able to use Vent.

holy shit, that's awful. I couldn't imagine being deaf.. and considering most communication on the internet that would be the last place I'd expect to be judged based on it.

Sounds like they take that game too damn seriously. A guild is a family, you don't disown a family member because of something they couldn't stop.
This is exactly what I was going to say

Wow. That's amazing. People can be such douchebags. People can want to succeed so much that they shove friends out of the way, and make themselves no room for compassion. The ironic part is, those people are usually the ones to not succeed at all.

If someone in my town were to ask me what species I am, there would be an awkward pause before I said "Human".
